I have had an Epiphany.

Why Zhang Ri Yin can’t sing Timeless live…

Let me start this by saying, I love Zhang Li Yin and I think she is a great talent. She’s a nice change from the Lee Hyo Ri and “sexy diva” image singers.

Timeless Live…

Here’s why I think she can’t
When she sings Timeless with Junsu her voice has a completely different character than on the cd recording. I think that, since SM Entertainment sucks, they made her sing the song outside of her comfort zone and outside of her natural voice. When she’s performing live, she keeps doing what I call, the Christina Aguilera grunt but that just doesn’t work with this duet.

Paris in Korea…

Posted in Seoul, WTF? on October 31, 2007 by illdielaughing

…Why?

200710310005_011.jpg

She is currently the face of Fila Korea. I wonder why they would want Paris Hilton, I mean that can’t get a slutty famous Korean woman to represent them?

I’m so annoyed with people being paid so much money to be themselves. Especially when they’re just horrible role models.
I’m sure that if I knew her I’d find something to like about her. I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but jeez…

Kim Ah Joong has a “Hot Face”

Posted in Seoul, WTF? with tags on October 31, 2007 by illdielaughing

The staff of Elle has awarded Kim Ah Joong with the “Hot Face” award.

It is obvious that this award has nothing at all to do with her face because…well, her actual face no longer exists. Anyway, she won the award because of her massive exposure in 2007. Mostly or solely due to the overrated 200 lb beauty.

Past recipients of the award, which started in 1997 and applies to international stars, models and designers, include Madonna, Charlize Theron, Kylie Minogue, Helena Christensen, Marc Jacobs, and Vivian Westwood. This year’s ceremonies were held in Hong Kong and featured many stars from Asia; other Korean candidates included Boa, Lee Junki, and Jeon Ji Hyun, but Kim Ah Joong was the only Korean honored with an award.

You know, I’m know Kim Ah Joong worked really hard to get where she is so congratulations to her.

But maybe her plastic surgeon should have worked harder to not make her look like so fake…

DBSK on Star King

Posted in Seoul, TV with tags on October 30, 2007 by illdielaughing

Funniest Episode Ever…

Not just because of the mini DBSK group:
(From about the middle of the first video the mini DBSK performance starts.

But also because of the Amazing Girls. The girl in the pink shirt… haha

Some of the funny things about this vid:
The girl that says she wants to marry Xiah
The girl that says she wants to carry him around in her bag…
The girl who tries to grind with Hero…Hero’s face is priceless…
When the girls get mad at Haha…

You should really just watch the whole episode…

This show is from April 14th, 2007. Not very recent but I couldn’t help posting it. I was laughing my as off the entire time.

Kurosawa Remake

Posted in Movies with tags , , on October 29, 2007 by illdielaughing

Remaking a Kurosawa film is very tricky but it’s happening yet again.

Akira Kurosawa’s 1958 film “The Hidden Fortress” (”Kakushi Toride no San Akunin”) is getting a remake, directed by special effects specialist Shinji Higuchi. This version will star Arashi member Jun Matsumoto in his first jidaigeki role, with a supporting cast that includes popular actress Masami Nagasawa.

The original film starred Toshiro Mifune as the defeated general Rokurota trying to secretly escort a princess and her wealth to safety. Along the way, he is joined in the journey by two peasants. In Higuchi’s version, the story’s protagonist is the peasant Takezo (played by Matsumoto), rather than the general.

Masami Nagasawa plays the role of the princess, while Hiroshi Abe plays Rokurota. According to Sports Hochi, comedian Daisuke Miyagawa is also part of the cast, and Kazuki Nakashima is handling the adaptation of the script.

The movie reportedly has a budget of 1.5 billion yen. Filming starts next month and lasts until the end of the year, with theatrical release set for May 10, 2008.

Happy Birthday Jun Ji Hyun

Happy Birthday.

photo39733.jpg

She is famous for her roles in Il Mare, My Sassy Girl and Windstruck…but besides that nothing else she’s done has made waves. But maybe her next movie will?

I loved My Sassy Girl but I hated her character, she was so annoying. As an actress Jun Ji Hyun was great but Cha Tae Hyun stole the show. He was so great. Moving on…

She is staring in Syoopeomaenieotteon Sanai which means, The man who was once Superman. It’s basically about a producer, Jun Ji Hyun, that is making a documentary about her neighbor, Hwang Jeong Min,who thinks he’s Superman. The movie is directed by Jeong Yoon Cheol.

Back in a comedy, I hope it’s good.

Yunho: Officially Korea’s Usher because…

Posted in ^_^ with tags , on October 28, 2007 by illdielaughing

Yunho: Officially Korea’s Usher because…like Usher, Yunho has become too sexy for his shirt.
Hahaa… Amy I have no shame… I’m sorry… T_T

I’m sure Yunho was thinking, “I can’t dance too much… maybe i should tear of my shirt at a ridiculously random moment!”

How happy we all are for that.

I love how all the other members are singing the song and then Yunho is just displaying himself on a platform. Priceless. And now Yunho is officially Korea’s Usher. If anyone remembers (or even knew), Usher off his pants in the middle of his performance because the stylist forget to put lining in his leather pants. I would have taken my pants off too…. but maybe when I got off stage. And then there is him taking off his shirt because…well, who knows?

He’s very serious about it isn’t he?
But that horrible note afterwards…gah.

Aigoo…

I’ve recently been heavily influenced by my pop idol loving friends so DBSK is on the mind at the moment.

This would be my view of the concert…because I’m tragically cheap…

The five hot performers held a three hour concert at the Olympic Stadium in Korea this weekend. In their previous concert Yunho hurt his back. He should be recooperating for 3 weeks to a month but he had to appease his fans…Partly because he really loves them and partly because if he didn’t they would assassinate him.

I wish I could have been there. Too bad I don’t live in Korea… *sigh*

Anyway, here are some pictures from the intense event. It was so intense that, according to popseoul.com, sixteen girls passed out. Umm… Relax. I know you love Dong Ban Shin Ki but if you pass out fom overexcitement you’ll miss the concert and/or hit something on the way down and die. So, calm down next time, okay?
