Super Junior M

I have to say, they aren’t half bad. Not really my style, they’re like the prototype of an Asian Idol group. But as we know SM loves to crank them out.

I think because of all the crap Super Junior M got from their psycho fans I sympathize with them and feel bad for them so I have a soft spot growing for them. But listening to their music for me is kind of a no-no. (But DAMN that song is catchy).

EDIT: MI is the name of the album and Mandarin is the M in Su JU M. The Mi, is fan in Chinese. Thank you, Amy! The M for Mandarin is still stupid. Are they going to create a sub group with Ki Bum called Super Junior English? That would be silly.]

Yeah “me” is supposed to be fan in Chinese but it’s actually romanized incorrectly (you’d think they’d do their effing homework before putting this out as the official name of an ALBUM) because it’s supposed to be “Mi.” On the one hand, people know arbitrarily what “me” could be if it was like “You and me”’s “me” but “mi” would be the correct way to spell this.

Ohhh, that’s annoying, especially considering the confusion that would create with English speaking fans they really should. So they mess up English and Chinese. Yay.

  3. candychu Says:

It’s actually Super Junior Mandarin as opposed to Super Junior China
But their Album is called Super Junior - Me while the chinese character means “Fan” (mi) …

  4. Kristy L Says:

the M stands for Mandarin.. not Me/Mi
    that’s the group name

    and the album name
is Mi (fanatic in chinese) or Me (english Me like I-my-mine-me)
i take it that they’re just 2 different meanings .. not that he’s romanizing it wrong..
Mi and Me are homophones.. so in fact maybe they’re trying to be clever and play with words..

and btw I’ve seen many movies and other albums whose english name doesn’t match the chinese names (different meaning).

Sorry, but what the fcuk? They just confused the hell out of me and it’s only a TWO LETTER WORD.

Oh god, I give up…..forever. lol.

  6. akon Says:

Oh and just to show that I’m not a total SJ hater. I do think the song’s catchy. I easily succumb to anything with a good beat… :/ (it’s a curse, I tell ya)

I Doubt that SM is trying to be clever. Me/Mi… Even if they were trying to be clever they have failed miserably.

Thanks, Amy, Candy Chu and Kristy for helping me get the facts straight!

I love how people keep suggesting that Kibum should also be in a sub group (since he’s been left out in K.R.Y., T, and M). Not a chance! HAHA… I love the kid to death but he can’t sing. LOL… and soooooo… no there will be no Super Junior English lead by Kim Kibum HAHAHAHAHA….

  9. akon Says:

Super Junior English? Knowing SM…that might not be outta the question. But I’m already cringing about the thought….I like to compare Ki Bum’s English to Micky’s English. That is, it’s pretty non-existent speaking-wise. :/

  10. suju4ever Says:

lol suju english would be great! except forthe fact that it probably wouldn’t sound like english at all :P, we dont need another reason for sm to add other non-suju to make suju English have actual english speakers lol i cant wiat to see what sm can think of next

  11. Amy Says:

AAAAhahahaha I laughed at Super Junior English. And speaking of Kibum, he’s officially now the only member in Super Junior that hasn’t been part of any sub-unit projects. I feel a little bad for him. His English is actually preeeetty tame. Would not be able to do any extensive conversing with him, unfortunately.

  12. illdielaughing Says:

Haha, I think Ki Bum is the actor of all of Su Ju so putting him in a smaller group would not seem like a good idea. And he always calls himself the rapper which I find funny. Just let the kid act, his sub group can by the Screen Actors Guild of Korea lol

Speaking of those fluent in Engrish I would love to know what Yoochun’s English sounds like right about now.

he’s getting good i must say.
